is it a religion?
maybe just an elaborate joke?
in either case, their "holy scripture" is a very funny and recommended read!
behold, The Principia Discordia!
"Discordianism is a modern, chaos-centered religion founded circa 1958–1959 by Malaclypse the Younger with the publication of its principal text, the Principia Discordia. It is widely regarded as a parody religion, and has been called "Zen for roundeyes", based on similarities with absurdist interpretations of the Rinzai school. Discordianism recognizes chaos, discord, and dissent as valid and desirable qualities, in contrast with most religions, which idealize harmony and order. The religion is largely composed of whimsical and absurd ideas, though many adherents claim there is a deeper meaning to their flippant attitude. Eris is the matron deity of the religion. (and also the name of the new 10th planet of our Solar System!)"
A dramatic computer-animated simulation, produced by NHK Japan and the National Film Board of Canada, depicts what would happen if an asteroid measuring 500 kilometers in diameter collided with Earth.

Heil to the sun!
The Sun is now in the quietest phase of its 11-year activity cycle, the solar minimum - in fact, it has been unusually quiet this year - with over 200 days so far with no observed sunspots. The solar wind has also dropped to its lowest levels in 50 years. Scientists are unsure of the significance of this unusual calm, but are continually monitoring our closest star with an array of telescopes and satellites.
Seen below are some recent images of the Sun in more active times.
Check out those amazing pics of our King o/

MOONBELL transphorm the topography of the moon into sound.
"Lunar orbiting satellite Kaguya (SELENE) was launched from Tanegashima Space Center on September 14, 2007 at 10:31am.
Kaguya is currently orbiting the moon, taking observations of the lunar surface with 14 different sensors.
Moonbell uses data from one of those sensors, a laser altimeter, or LALT, transforming the altitude data into musical intervals."
See the “About” page for a complete description of all of Moonbell’s functions and controls.
